How to fix WampServer problem: Forbidden You don't have permission to access /phpmyadmin/ on this server

This is also my problem on the first time I installed WampServer. I have searched for the solution of this for a long time and finally found it. The solution to fix WampServer problem: “Forbidden You don’t have permission to access /phpmyadmin/ on this server” is very simple.

1. Browse to WampServer alias folder, for ex: E:\Wamp\alias\

2. Open file phpmyadmin.conf in the folder using Notepad. The file should look like this:

Alias /phpmyadmin “e:/wamp/apps/phpmyadmin3.4.5/”

# to give access to phpmyadmin from outside

# replace the lines

#

#        Order Deny,Allow

#        Deny from all

#        Allow from 127.0.0.1

#

# by

#

#        Order Allow,Deny

#   Allow from all

#

<Directory “e:/wamp/apps/phpmyadmin3.4.5/”>

Options Indexes FollowSymLinks MultiViews

AllowOverride all

Order Deny,Allow

Deny from all

Allow from 127.0.0.1

</Directory>

3. As you see commented lines in the file (lines with “#” symbol before), you can fix the problem by change the file content to:

Alias /phpmyadmin “e:/wamp/apps/phpmyadmin3.4.5/”

# to give access to phpmyadmin from outside

# replace the lines

#

#        Order Deny,Allow

#        Deny from all

#        Allow from 127.0.0.1

#

# by

#

#        Order Allow,Deny

#   Allow from all

#

<Directory “e:/wamp/apps/phpmyadmin3.4.5/”>

Options Indexes FollowSymLinks MultiViews

AllowOverride all

Order Allow,Deny

Allow from all

</Directory>

You’ve done. Now you can access phpMyAdmin by enter the address:

http://localhost/phpmyadmin

Hope this will help you to fix your problem.
